Bringing training to your door!

Funding from the Staffordshire Learning and Skills Council has enabled the College to commission the e-bus, which is specifically designed to provide free essential skills training for local businesses. Fitted with Internet enabled computers and printers, the new e-bus will travel to local business communities in order to help local employees improve their IT, literacy and numeracy skills without having to leave their place of work. The bus, which sports College colours, also includes disabled access.

Speaking about the new project, Hilary Morgan, Head of Basic Skills & Foundation Programmes, said "The e-bus project is a very exciting initiative and reflects the fact that we are committed to expanding our provision to meet the needs of the community and employers. As a College we are locally at the forefront of training and development, and our new e-bus demonstrates our commitment to providing opportunities for local people and commerce to access the best facilities possible. It is not always convenient for businesses to send employees on courses so it’s great that the e-bus will be able to take training, advice and information to businesses of all sizes and in all sectors.”
