How To Apply

Applying For A Course
For a Full time course:

1. Complete the application form:

2. Choose between a general guidance interview or a course interview:

If you know which course you would like to apply for then please write the course title in the relevant box. Alternatively if you are not sure which course is the right one for you then please request a general guidance interview by ticking the relevant box. During a guidance interview a member of our qualifi ed Guidance Team will help you to look at the different options available and be able to advise you on the best one to suit your needs.

3. Return the form to our Admissions Team:

or simply drop it in to the Learner Hub.

Once you have submitted the form you can expect to receive a letter from our Admissions Team within 2 weeks inviting you in to College for either a course or guidance interview.

4. Attend your interview:

When you attend your interview please remember to bring along anything requested in your letter e.g. your school report, record of achievement or a reference. During your interview you will be able to fi nd out more information about the course, our wider College services and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You will be informed verbally at the end of your course interview as to whether you will be offered a place or not. If we are unable to offer you a place on the course you will be invited to a general guidance interview where you will be able to discuss alternative options available at College.

5. Offer of a place:

At your interview you may have been requested to supply some additional information such as a Criminal Records Bureau Check (CRB) or a reference which will be a condition of your offer. Please ensure you supply this as soon as possible so that we can formally make you a written offer. After you have received your offer letter you can also expect to hear from the Admissions Team inviting you in to a Taster Day at College. Over the summer period you will receive details of your enrolment and your course start date which will be at the beginning of September.


For a Part Time Course:

By completing the enquiry form here you will be expressing an interest in the course of your choice. You will be contacted by the College. You may be requested to come into the College prior to enrolment for an advice and guidance meeting so that we can make sure it is the right course of study and help you with any other support.

* Please note you will still need to enrol on your course.

Option 2:

All Year Enrolment

Some classes start throughout the year. Call the enquiry line for more information on 01283 494400.

Please note that due to staff development the enrolment point will not be open on Wednesday 5th October 2011, Thursday 6th October 2011, Friday 10th February 2012 and Tuesday 3rd July 2012.
