School of Leisure & Hospitality

Hairdressing prize winners
Welcome to the School of Leisure & Hospitality. We offer a diverse range of courses on a part-time and full-time basis. Our staff can offer a wealth of vocational experience and academic qualifications, plus we have strong links with local industry, as many of our students work in the hair, beauty, catering and leisure industries.

With excellent facilities, the School has a modern training hairdressing and beauty salon called Innovations, which is also open to the general public. Our Mulberry Restaurant offers training in professional catering; students have the chance to work in a real live restaurant preparing meals and serving the public. A state of the art sports facility, Shobnall Leisure Centre, provides excellent, modern facilities for a wide variety of activities including badminton, basketball, volleyball, five-a-side football, netball and cricket. We also run a Football Academy in partnership with Burton Albion Football Club.

We offer courses in travel and tourism, uniformed services, hairdressing and beauty and catering. Browse through our pages to view our vast range of courses.

Some of our students' achievements this year:

Organised by the National Association of Hairdressing Teachers and independently judged, the competition is designed to showcase the talents of up and coming stylists of the future.
